Hydroponic slime mold?

i have a recirculating hydroponic system with 2 large tomato plants that look fairly healthy....problem is that when i changed the resivour there was red slime and white mold on everything and i reg change it once a week this time i waited 2 weeks and was horrified....plants are on the decline and i need some good advice ASAP.....i just washed the whole system with hydrogen peroxide and removed the jellylike rootm.....the remaining roots have what looks like white powder on them and red slime at the tips near the water...I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE....could my house have mold in it that is causing this????
