Is it possible to convert MVP files to WMP?

I am trying to create a video that I can play in any DVD player, or at least Windows Media. However, my software will only save files as .mvp, and they aren't any good to me in that format. Is there any software or anything available that will let me convert these files into something that will play in other programs?
