Is it normal to be pregnant and not want the baby?

My wife is pregnant and yesterday told me she was unhappy and wanted an abortion. The problem here is that we are both devout Christians and we have been married almost five years. We talked about it before hand and she is the one who made the ultimate decision and now she is saying that she either wants to carry the baby and leave or abort. Is this type of behavior normal?
