I'm gay and have a serious question about a guy I think might be gay that i'm crushing on?

I first saw him back in February he seemed really intimidating at first, very deep voice, has a shaved head, and most importantly was strangely attractive to me. I guess I have been attracted to him since I broke up with my bf in May. Each time I come in he always says hi, and i have even came in and brought my mom coffee, he followed me to her office and asked how I was doing I thought it was kinda cute. I'm getting mixed signals from this guy, he seems to be too butch to be gay, but he actually really is one of my moms nicest employes. he is a server for my mom, and i want to find out if he's gay but I can't really ask myself cause my mom may get mad cause it's her job. any suggestions?
