The way the history of the "famine" is taught in schools?

Mrs Saxe Coburg actually gave 5 and not 2,000 although by Todays Standards it was probably worth 300. The British Government Barred the People from growing Commercial Crops or owning Land or Horses. They were Astonished that the Irish were able to survive very well on Potatoes. The Potatoes fed the Pigs that they were able to sell to Supplement there Livelihood. When the Potato failed through Blight they could not feed there Animals and so had to be Sold eventually they were not able to pay the Rent on there little Plots of Land and so were Evicted. The Authorities made them Work in the Work Houses before they gave them Food. they actively Connived to make it Hard for the People to Exist. They had a very mean Spirited Attitude to the Irish.
