How is water getting INTO the drivers door of my Laguna 2002?

How is water getting INTO the drivers door of my Laguna 2002. There was a slooshing noise coming from the drivers door everytime it was opened and closed it. I found a plug under the door and when i removed it 3/4 to a pint of water came out! How do i stop the water getting in there???
