How can Muhammad's father's name be Abdullah when at that time Arabia was pagan?

Because Allah/God has always existed in Arabia, even at the pre-Islamic the name "Allah" was used by pagan Meccans as a reference to the "creator deity", possibly the supreme deity.. Allah was then not considered the sole divinity, having ociates and companions, sons and daughters–a concept which Islam thoroughly and resolutely did away with.
